𓆸 At first, I assumed that my outgoing friend had no trouble forming close relationships.
However, during a long conversation with her, I realised that she actually struggles with this more than I had thought.
She keeps this to herself because she is afraid of being judged or rejected for her vulnerability. In this book, I share six personal and heartfelt stories from individuals who have experienced fearful-avoidant behaviour and the emotional struggles that come with it. Each story captures a moment of vulnerability and isolation that these individuals faced during the dark and lonely nights, and how they found a way to cope with it.
𓆸 Through interviews, workshops, and photography, I collaborated with six interviewees to complete this book.
They expressed their emotions regarding fearful-avoidant behaviour through drawing during the workshops.
Together, we delved into their inner worlds and interpreted their stories from six different perspectives and emotional angles. This book showcases their artistic expressions and personal narratives, representing our collective achievement, and also encourages people to share their feeling with their close friends and family, as to encourage compassion.

𓆸 I tried using two different materials, wood and cardboard, for no particular reason other than their affordability and ease of assembly. Since I needed to shoot at the interviewee's home, it was important for me to have something portable and easy to dismantle.
Interactive Design
𓆸 The interactive page offers a condensed paper peepshow experience, immersing readers in a sense of solitude. Its design is crafted to captivate the audience and draw them into the book's distinctive and intimate story.
