𓆸 The rebellious nature of young people has the power to evoke a sense of collective nostalgia within their generation. As they navigate through life, individuals may find themselves feeling disoriented and detached, seeking solace in distant lands in their quest for self-discovery. However, amidst this journey, they come to realize that the most extraordinary and cherished treasures reside right within their reach. In this exploration of youthful rebellion and its consequences, we delve into the complexities of human experience and the profound appreciation that emerges from recognizing the value of what surrounds us.
Set Design
𓆸 The inspiration for "Small Talk" came from my experiences as a wanderer in a foreign land and my phone conversations with my mother. Through this video, I aimed to convey the subtle emotions of longing for my hometown. The initial excitement of being in a new place slowly dissipates under the weight of reality, and young migrants may find themselves losing their sense of direction as time passes. My personal journey led me to search for the things in everyday life that have shaped the person I am today. I wanted to use this experience to encourage other wanderers who may have lost their way on the path to pursuing their dreams. Embracing the mundane aspects of daily life, rather than deliberately trying to escape the past, maybe the key to personal growth and self-realization.
