Kew Gardens Night Shows
Disply Location :
Kew Gardens/ Temperate House

Night Show
𓆸 The immersive design of Kew Gardens in the UK is based on the concept of being able to enjoy the botanical garden even at night, deconstructing the audience's conventional perception that plants can only be appreciated during the day.
The animation combines visuals in an immersive design, complementing the atmosphere of the botanical garden and providing the audience with a different viewing experience from daytime.

The visual design focuses on temperate plants and fantastical creatures, with human figures in the background, enhancing the coexistence of the audience with the botanical world. Three different techniques, "2D animation, 3D animation, and live-action footage," are combined, and After Effects is used to unify the color tones, creating a looping animation that intertwines reality and fantasy.
In terms of space, the exhibition takes place in the temperate plant house at Kew Gardens at night. Multiple projection screens (secondary screens) are placed around the exhibition area, with the main projection located in the central resting area. Visitors can enjoy the temperate plants at night along the positions of the secondary screens and eventually reach the resting area where the main screen is placed.
